A satisfied customer

The following letter has published in this week Stratford Herald letters page.

Thank you, football club

Sir, I frequently read adverse criticism about Stratford Town Football Club. However, I was recently trying to find a venue in the town for a birthday celebration that would not only accommodate 100 to 120 people but would have catering facilities for such an occasion. I also experienced difficulty when I requested a disco. As this was my wife’s 60th birthday the ages of the guests would vary between 30 years to near dead.

When I approached the football club I was warmly received and everyone at the club went out of their way to make the occasion a success. The management, bar staff were excellent.

I would like to express in your newspaper that should anybody be looking for a venue for a wedding, birthday etc for a large number of people then the club is certainly worth considering.

Thank you Stratford Town Football Club all the best for the future.

Simon Savage,

Stratford

Our thanks go to Simon for taking the time and effort for this public support.

AFC TELFORD VISIT KNIGHTS LANE

AFC Telford brought some vocal and good humoured support to Knights Lane today for the first of Towns seven pre-season friendlies. With such a gulf in league status between the teams it we perhaps predictable that it would become a one sided affair for long periods but Town did draw level at on stage before Telford shown their class to finish 5-1 winners.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

It’s a busy time for all the team managers at the club and the Commercial Team are no different.

Commercial Director, Melanie Tweddle said: “We have to have sustainability if we are to keep going. We have to build slowly on steady foundations. At the end of the day ambition is all about money. We all want to win otherwise we wouldn’t be involved but without a bigger budget it’s always going to be a struggle“.

Anyone interested in supporting The Town can contact Melanie on 07968 600300 or email mtweddle1@yahoo.co.uk
